Cubo presents a new furnishing idea with high-value solid wooden
units. In this recommended combination, the wide units alternate
with the horizontal ribbed structure created by the “Schropp
planing” on the wild oak. Wide and flat units, mounted on a wall so
as to create a well-balanced overall impression, provide space for a

Naturalness, originality and fine design are the features which make solid wooden furniture from Hartmann so ‘popular. Hartmann have followed this philosophy in its cubo range and has, indeed, even gone one step further, both in the expert workmanship crafted on the naturally grown, solid wild oak with all its fissures and connotions as well as in the fascinating way the surfaces have been treated. Experts call this “Schropp planing”. In this process, the wild oak is planed using specially crafted blades in a “structured” procedure in the length direction of the grain to create a ribbed surface. The natural characteristics reflecting how the wood has grown are thus consciously highlighted and appear in an exciting contrast to the highly modern design of the units themselves. |
