Martela's approach to individual customer service, extensive range of
high quality products, swift deliveries and a functional sales network
have strengthened its position as a market leader of office furnishing
in Finland. Martela is also becoming increasingly well known in the rest
of Europe and is ranked among the largest office furniture
manufacturers. Martela has authorised dealers in many countries. In
Finland Martela's products are sold via its own sales network and
through authorised Martela Centres. Speed and flexibility are Martela's
strengths. The manufacture of office furniture is driven by customer
orders and is based on a wide range of subcontracts for the supply of
components and their assembly by Martela. Martela Group has
manufacturing plants located in Nummela, Kitee and Raisio in Finland as
well as Bodafors in Sweden and Warsaw in Poland. The logistics centres
and furniture factories are located in Nummela, Bodafors and Warsaw. The
Raisio plant, P.O. Korhonen Oy, manufactures furniture using the latest
form-pressing technology. The Kitee plant, Kidex Oy, manufactures
components for cabinets and pedestals as well as desktops. Martela's
turnover in 2007 was 128.4 million Euro. Martela employed in 2007
average 663 people within its Group. Martela has been listed in the
Helsinki Stock Exchange since 1986.
