Roberta Schilling creates richly detailed paintings on family heirlooms from
her design studio and warehouse in northwest Miami. Originating from Brazil,
Schilling saw an opportunity to bring high-end Brazilian crafts and
furniture to a receptive American audience after attending trade shows in
the United States while on hunt for merchandise for her mother's store. In
1995, she found her company which today stands as one of the premier makers
of hand-painted furniture in the US. A trendsetter by all accounts,
Schilling has seen her business grow to include accessories, decorative
crafts, natural fiber textiles and fine Brazilian antiques. More recently
she introduced Moderna, a line of contemporary furniture pieces that
incorporate clean modern lines with her signature artistic craftsmanship.
