Sixten & Cassey Ltd, which is now the Group holding company, was formed on 8th June 1921 by Sidney Cassey and Sixten Haymen. Prior to setting up the company Sidney Cassey had worked for Liberty’s in Paris (Ladies Fashion) then onto London as a Furnishing fabric buyer. Started as a wholesale business in London, dealing in woven fabrics, Italian damasks, tapestries, etc. the company was first based in London’s West End.
