What advantages does it have?

Lamination process is used in the manufacture of bamboo flooring and this drastically reduces the tendency of cupping, deforming or spacing. One thing that you should know about bamboo is that since it grows in the tropical regions, it is highly unlikely that it will deform because of water.
Bamboo is naturally moisture resistant. So if you want to install wooden flooring in places that are under constant attack of water like the kitchen or even the bathroom, bamboo flooring can be the best option you have. Now you do not have to worry about those occasional spills and splashes of water on the wooden floor. Just wipe it off and you are good to go. When it comes to dimensional solidity, bamboo ranks above the most of the hardwood floorings that are installed in offices and homes.

This is an impressing feature of bamboo. You will never get to complain about buckling or gaps in the floor between two bamboo strips due to shrinkage and swelling as change in humidity does not affect it like other woods. In addition to property, bamboo, unlike the other species of woods, does not require any finishing. This means that bamboo floorings are very easy to install and take lesser time than the traditional hardwood floorings. Moreover, it eliminates any toxic chemicals used in finishing and their odours from lingering around.

A versatile and sustainable decorative option

The versatility of bamboo is remarkable. This is because not only can it be used as flooring but also as table tops, front of drawers and cupboards, window rims, etc. for offices and homes. Commonly, bamboo flooring manufacturers produce planks of bamboo. For vertical floorings of bamboo, the thinnest edge is marked and the strips or planks are fitted on this edge first. After this, they are pressed and coated with plastics. This provides a uniform lined finish to the floor.

When there is a horizontal bamboo floor, the broadest edges of the strips and planks are marked and the planks are fixed on this edge first. Then the bamboo is pressed downwards from side to side, by using a high-powered laminating system, to the adjoining pieces of wood.

This finished surface contains the bamboo nodes that are characteristic to this wood species. Bamboo is not just a sustainable way to build your home or office. It is also a fashionable way that adds to the décor of your place. The variety of available colors and shades means that there is something for everyone in the market.
