The Golden Section, also known as the "Divine Proportion" and the inspiration for the dimensions of the table's stained glass top, has played a storied role in human history and has been observed in everything from the Eyptian pyramids to the human face to DNA. Handcrafted in the U.S. with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) (http://www.vivavi.com/materials.php#fsc) certified sustainble wood. Designer Laurel Hoover works solely with non-toxic water based finishes in her sustainable furniture line.
