Bennett's Furniture Town

Furniture has been a big part of McComb, Ohio starting way back in 1906 with the Diller Furniture Store owned by Frank Diller. It closed during World War II, but then re-opened afterwards with a new team to help run it. This team included Diller's brother-in-law, Ned Bennett. In 1953, Diller sold his part of the store to Ned's brother, Dan, and Bennett’s Furniture Town was born. Soon after in 1959, Chuck Wasson became part of the sales team.
Family ties remained strong at Bennett’s with both brothers continuing on until each passed away (Ned in 1978 and Dan in 1984). Soon thereafter, Daisy Bennett (Dan’s widow) became the store owner and promoted Chuck Wasson as corporate manager. Chuck’s son, Joe, was also hired in 1993 in a sales capacity. After the unexpected passing of Daisy in 1996, Chuck purchased the business. In 1997, Joe Wasson then became VP of Operations and General Manager.
In the summer of 2010, Chuck announced his retirement from most day-to-day activities with his son, Joe, continuing on as President. Chuck and Joe’s continued leadership of carrying on the original family business is not only in name, but in spirit. Conducting business with integrity, fairness, and with the highest ethical standards remains essential. At Bennett’s, our customers’ needs come first. Even with retirements, promotions, and new faces, we definitely plan to keep this approach now and long into the future.
We’re proud of our history and thankful to be entrenched within the community and the customers we serve. Referrals remain a very strong part of our business often spanning across two and even three generations.
