In 1985, Linda and I bought Weilbacher's Appliance and Furniture and began building on 40 years of personal, honest and hometown service and sales. After continued growth, a new bigger, better era began in 2001 with the construction and move to the new, beautiful 19,000 sq. ft. showroom on Route 3 in Columbia, IL. Harres Home Furnishings and Appliances offers a unique and creative collection of merchandise for every member of our community from the budget conscious to those with discriminating tastes so that anyone can express their distinctive style in any room.
On display in our stunning showroom are the best from major trusted brands like Flexsteel, Lane, Best, Winners Only, Riverside, Hooker, Mobel, Standard, Ashley and many more. Linda, our very own Certified In-Home Design Consultant, is here at your service. We offer free in-store consultations in our Design Center which features over 2,000 fabrics and resource after resource of merchandise, ranging from living room and dining room pieces, kid's rooms to master bedrooms, accent pieces and accessories. In addition, free in-home design is available with a purchase.

When you call Harres, you will talk directly with an employee who works in the store and is in direct contact with our service man (and who may do service himself); no outsourced telephone service, no automated answering.
