I have a long narrow living room (was once separate lounge and dining room but they were knocked into one room by a previous owner. There is a window on one of the short walls and French doors on the opposite short wall.
I want to decorate and am after tips and tricks to make the room appear less long and narrow, for example, which wall(s) do I paint lighter shade and which in darker shade? Or do I use patterned wallpaper or panels of colour?
