• KJG seals deal for Rubik's Cube furniture

Designer specialist Surface Tension rolls out piece based on the classic cube.

The Rubik's Cube brand is continuing to expand outside of the traditional toy sector, with licensing agent KJG striking a deal for furniture.
Designer furniture specialist Surface Tension has created a multi-functional item with storage space within it, which can be used as either a table or chair.
"Our inspiration comes from the retro gaming era of the 70s and 80s; our multi-functional Rubik's seat fits perfectly with our range of contemporary arcade coffee tables and accessories," said Surface Tension's Laura Snowden.
David Hedley Jones, senior VP of Rubik's at Seven Towns, added: "These are very cool and will look great in homes and offices; fortunately they are sold ready solved, so are suitable for those who still can't do the Rubik's Cube."
Kirsty Guthrie from KJG concluded: "The iconic and innovative design has huge appeal and the range will be snapped up by Rubik's Cube fans and anybody else looking for something that really is different."
