Investing in a new kitchen? Time and again our customers ask “how can I make sure I get the best value”?

Well simply make sure you invest in a new kitchen and spend money on the right things. Think about the return on investment for every facet of a new kitchen. A well designed fitted kitchen will make your property more appealing and can add as much as 4% to its value, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. But ensure your spend is in proportion and is not too personal if you want to add real value. Items such as luxury granite work tops will always have appeal but more unusual features such as steel work surfaces may be off putting. So best quality and neutral styling is fundamental.

There are number of key elements of the kitchen which you should not scrimp on however long you’re planning to stay. Whatever the appeal don’t waste your money on cheap appliances, dishwashers in particular have to work very hard so choose a top brand that comes with a warranty, and invest as much as you can.

Apparently *52% of Brits spend more time in the kitchen than any other room so make sure you are investing in a new kitchen wisely. Make sure all of the potential space has been maximized with thoughtful planning as storage in the kitchen is always at a premium. Our designers always think about floor to ceiling, wall to wall and use things like corners which often hide dead space.

Accessories such as wall tiles can date so easily and we now hardly ever fit tiles in kitchens, there are so many modern innovative alternatives such as lovely glass splash backs. Even on floors ceramic tiles are a thing of the past. They can be very cold, hard and unforgiving so we focus on modern alternatives such as those from Karndean with the look and feel of natural flooring in luxury vinyl tiles that are very durable.

So invest wisely in the right things and your kitchen will work hard for every one of those

*752 hours you spend in the kitchen every year!
