VWM believe they are one of the only true suppliers of woodworking machinery in the UK in this we declare that we are a company that can offer the widest range of services. Current chairman Mr. William Varey formerly of Wadkin Ltd founded VWM in 1981. Initially VWM was set up as a service based company looking after the needs of customer's own machinery. Later in the early 1980's VWM became involved in the buying and selling of previously owned machinery and graduated into sales of new machinery.

VWM are now the sole UK agents for many manufacturers from Italy and the Far East, and being based in the old Wadkin factory in Colne Lancashire, has helped as far as being recognised for their quality rebuilt CNC routers and their classical machines, “we have improved our building over the years to bring the feel of a showroom environment to our customers, making it a pleasurable day out instead of just visiting a big warehouse.
We have implemented a new-carpeted working showroom for customers to browse at their leisure and we have new CNC routers on full demonstration for customers who wish to see a machine going through its paces” “We have also opened our new office and reception area and had a full refit in our existing offices implementing a full CNC training room with PC’s fitted out with Licom software; so we are able to carry out training at our works rather than at the customers, this causes less down time and inconvenience and means that we can take the customer to a machine and actually cut a component in-house”
VWM South Africa is now very well established, Being run by Mr Bill Varey, whilst The existing business is run by Mr Jason Varey “WE now have strong established links with South Africa having purchased our own premises, service engineers based on site and a full show room with machines in stock. Having an established company over there has certainly helped our sales as we are now exporting over 25 machines a month.
This helps us with the UK market where we can offer better prices on part exchange machines as we are always looking for good quality second hand machines for export”
The new show room VWM have created is mainly for the smaller classical machines.
“We have a good stock of our CASOLIN and DOMINION range of machinery and also on show are LANGE edge banders and CNC boring machines. We try to keep a full and varied stock of around 350 machines and usually around 18 used CNC machining centres, hopefully enabling visiting customers to find something that will take their eye.
It is very good and refreshing to see a well established company like VWM doing so well in the UK and unusually in export as most companies only operate in the UK. “We are approaching 26 years and so if you are looking for a machine, then certainly look at this well established international company for your next purchase.”
