Jeff has been building furniture for nearly thirty years. Using designs hearkening back to the mid to late 1800s, Jeff's work is known for its simplicity, durability and functionality. Self taught in the art of cabinetry, Jeff makes each piece to exacting standards using traditional methods of joinery. Hand-made mortise and tenon joints, wood pegs, hand-crafted dovetailed drawers are all hallmarks of his work.

He began his journey in hand-crafted work through his experiences as a restorer and refinisher of American Country furniture; taking on the challenge of creating his own designs when classic period pieces became harder to find and less affordable to most average collectors and decorators. The result is a truly one of a kind piece designed with your input to create the perfect piece for your home; one that will last for many generations.
Jeff creates his designs based on over thirty five years of experience working with furniture in the American Country tradition, drawing from these forms as well as incorporating the influences of regional design such as American Shaker, Pennsylvania Dutch, Midwestern German and Scandinavian.
Working with native American hard and soft woods, he meticulously recreates furniture in the old tradition and finishes them for beauty and durability. Primary woods used include butternut, walnut, cherry, ash, oak (red or white), hickory, pine or cedar. Other woods on request, exotic species such as curly cherry and figured maple may be available, depending on local supplies.

His latest efforts utilize reclaimed lumber from remodeling or demolition or, where possible, hardwoods taken by disease or downed during the clearing of land for urban development.
Jeff's work includes highly sought after farm and harvest tables, beds, dressers and his signature case pieces; cupboards and dry sinks with distinctive woods and trim. The simplicity of his designs blend with any décor and allow the woods to stand on their own in any setting.
His work is recognized locally and he has been featured in Mpls/St.Paul magazine for his hand crafted work.

Reclaimed woods:
Recently I've introduced a line of country furniture utilizing woods salvaged from home remodeling and demolition. These woods are primarily pine or cedar and they are cleaned, sized and then incorporated into a piece of furniture to give the wood a second life and you the look and feel of old wood in an old design. Specializing in farm and harvest tables, I can also construct case pieces that go hand-in-hand with your decor.
Outdoor furniture:
Using weather resistant woods I've developed a line of Adirondack chairs and side tables. The primary wood used is reclaimed red and white cedar that is finished with three coats of hand applied weather resistant oil to bring out the beautiful colors in the wood and preserve it while the piece lives outside on your deck or patio. Furniture is constructed with the highest quality outdoor screws for strength and long life. Design is taken from a 1923 blueprint, extra wide seats (24") and a wide, flat arm parallel to the ground to hold your favorite beverage or snack plate.
