    Best Furniture Gallery

Best Furniture Gallery traces its roots back 70 years, when in 1941 Charlie Best opened a small shop in the center of Ft Thomas. In his tiny showroom, Charlie sold electronics and repaired radios. As an aside, he dabbled in furniture and appliance sales. But when America entered WWII, the business was put on hold and Charlie did his part to help with the war effort. When the War ended, Charlie realized that being a shopkeeper was in his blood and that furniture was his passion. So, with a little money saved and a lot of determination, Charlie and his wife Eva, purchased a plot of land in the Midway Business District on the South end of Ft. Thomas. The new building Charlie envisioned would house Best Furniture on the ground floor and double as Charlie and Eva's home in the upstairs apartment. There was only one problem...the year was 1945, the war had just ended and building supplies were scarce. Undeterred, Charlie "fired" the concrete block used for the exterior walls himself and oversaw the construction of the first of what would become several buildings that make up Best Furniture Gallery's 18,000 square foot complex today. (Charlie sold the original building at one point in order to finance an expansion, but it was eventually repurchased, renovated, and connected to the main showroom by the present owners, Craig and Carolynn Reis).

Charlie and Eva operated Best Furniture until 1982 when they sold the business to Floyd and Carole Cameron, who made extensive updates to the showroom and added several new furniture brands to complement the existing lineup of quality merchandise.

20 years later, in May of 2002, Craig and Carolynn Reis, purchased the business from the Cameron’s and started a new chapter in the evolution of Best Furniture Gallery. Over the next 5 years, they would update and expand the showroom, and construct a brand new façade as part of a major exterior renovation, all while continuing to provide the same high quality products and service that long-time Best customers have come to expect. Craig and Carolynn welcome you today with the same enthusiasm and passion that helped build Best Furniture from the ground up generations ago.
