    New bar sink and faucet

My plumbing resolution this year is to install a wet bar in my basement.

To my surprise, there are many types and styles of bar faucets and sinks available today.

What can you tell me about bar faucets and bar sinks that can point me in the right direction?

Years ago, all you had to do was ask for a bar faucet and a bar sink at your local supply house. Today, there are many choices for bar sinks and faucets. You may need some guidance to make sure you get the correct bar faucet for the bar sink you choose.

So, start with the bar sink. Cast iron and stainless steel are the two most popular materials and you can get them in drop-in or under mount styles. Bar sinks are smaller than standard kitchen sinks, and that is why special bar sink faucets are needed.

Once you have your bar sink, check out the sink faucet hole layout and go from there. For a one-hole sink, get a one-hole bar faucet. For a two-hole sink, a two-hole faucet, and for a three-hole sink, you guessed it, a three-hole bar sink faucet is needed.
