Marketing, on any platform, is heavily dependent on the products you're selling and what type of audience frequents that space.

Facebook currently serves a relatively older age demographic. Millennials to Boomers are the main ones on the platform. According to datareportal, the current demographics are 119.0 million users aged 13 to 17 (5.6% of Facebook's total ad audience) 481.1 million users aged 18 to 24 (22.4% of Facebook's total ad audience) 643.2 million users aged 25 to 34 (30.1% of Facebook's total ad audience) 401.5 million users aged 35 to 44 (18.7% of Facebook's total ad audience).

Taking this into mind, you would need to make sure whatever ads and organic content you're pushing through matches the specific demographics you're targetting. All the metrics and data you would alter would be in the Facebook business suite itself.

Organic content is where true traction comes from tho. Going viral on Facebook is huge, especially since sharing a post is relatively the norm on FB. So when people see something that they like, a "share this post" CTA isn't even necessary.

But the market is constantly shifting from whatever direction – so its important to stay updated!
