With the quiet irony typical for her work, Hella
Jongerius named her new sofa for Vitra Polder. The word refers to the tracts
of land reclaimed from the sea in Holland by creating dikes and drainage
ditches. The elongated carcass of this asymmetrically arranged sofa is
similarly low and flat, and emphasizes the horizontal.

The Marlin too was a design for Leolux. Because the Beluga was such a
success at the fair in Keulen, we were asked to design an easy-chair in the
same style. In an extremely short period of time we developed the Marlin and
showed it three months later at the furniture fair in Milan

My beautiful backside' is a seating collection designed for Moroso and
launched during Salone '08 in Milan. The range draws upon a miniature
painting of a Maharani sitting on the floor of her palace, surrounded and
supported by multiples of pebble shaped cushions

The Bloom Lounge Chair is made of microfiber stitched over a resin top with
a steel base. Inspired by the graceful blossom of a flower, this lounge
chair is sculpted by hundreds of fine running stitches radiating from the
center of the seat creating a subtle textural feel. Invisible supports form
shapes reminiscent of soft and graceful musical tones.

A modernist approach to Art Deco, Deco
Sofa is a recent addition to the Autoban collection. With an emphasis on
geometric forms and clean shapes, this sofa, made of luxurious materials,
has a seating area that is larger than your average sofa and the oversized
cylinder cushions just add to its comfort. Deco Sofa also with an ottoman
that creates a chaise lounge corner when placed beside the sofa.

Derin collection’s characteristics are founded on simplicity with
well-defined lines, giving a sense of movement that integrates modern and
fast urban lifestyles – suitable for both home and office environments.

Patmos is a sofa which juxtaposes the discreet and quite unusual presence of
solid wood between elements in soft “full grain” leather. The wooden blocks,
set between or flanking the leather seat, thus turn into a useful and
convenient surface.
